Silk painting can be framed either as a scroll picture or onto a rigid frame.

Scroll picture is easily transportable, convenient to take with You to a trip; inexpensive to post,
and takes little storage place.

but the frame does not have to be so massive.
The rigid frame is suitable when the silk is meant for a certain place,
and the transportability is not important.

Silk painting is half-transparent, so it can be enjoyable from two sides - for instance: at the window.
